IT'S BEEN
It's been a super good month for poetry magazine acceptances, I mean, for me this month and it seems like a great month for reading poetry, too. I have been sending out the same kind of stuff that I usually do but for some reason the success rate has been greater than usual. I think it has something to do with the balmy December weather we have been experiencing lately – it makes people want to read more poetry than usual, and makes publishers want to publish like crazy.
So far MAD SWIRL is the first to go online and that makes me happy because it is both a fun magazine and one that can describe delicious candy or the earth when used in conjunction with the words 'blue' and 'marble' and 'ing'
Thank you, MAD SWIRL: www.madswirl.com/content/poetry/Ricky_Garni.html>
And thank you, SHAMPOO, decomP, POOR MOJO'S ALMANAC(K), CLOCKWISE CAT and THE DELINQUENT, from jolly ol' You Know Where.
They are not only great magazines, but great titles of magazines, too.
And oh: thank you, MATTHEW'S CHOCOLATES.
Although Matthew's Chocolates did not publish anything of mine this month because they only sell chocolates, I still like them, because of, naturally, their chocolates. Especially the ones with lavender. They are located right across the street from the courthouse in Hillsborough, NC, and can really hit the spot, especially if you are the kind of person that drives in the left lane at 110 MPH late at night and then have to get up early in the morning to go to the courthouse.
all artwork, including handsome monsters but not crinkly devilish types,
